Royal Garden Hotel, Park Wing Bedroom Refurbishment

5-Star Hotel refurbishment in Kensington, London, W8

Project filed in Commercial, Hospitality

Opened in 1965, the Royal Garden Hotel is famous for hosting the official reception celebrating England's World Cup victory in 1966, and remains a well-loved hotel on High Street Kensington, overlooking Kensington Palace Gardens.

Favoured by many returning guests as a home from home, the hotel underwent a major bedroom refurbishment to 180 rooms during the Covid 19 Pandemic, so it would be ready for guests in 2022. The Client used an Executive Architect based in Singapore for the Concept design, and a delivery Architect in London for the detailed design and on-site stages.

The brief was to create refreshed, warm, comfortable, yet minimal spaces, with a simple and clear design, taking in the park through the large windows to each room, and to deliver with a modest budget in a very short timeframe.

PT Projects were Project Managers, Cost Consultants and Contract Administrators, and successfully completed the fast track project, which handed rooms back to the Client on a rolling programme from June to August 2022.
