A new generation office HQ in Hackney, London

Soda Studio were appointed to design the new Hackney HQ for Courier Media, which completed in early 2022. Courier Media aim to help young entrepreneurs work and live on their own terms, and provide a set of tools to help them learn new skills and make their own way in the world.

The brief was to create an interesting and varied set of spaces different to a normal office, for formal and informal meetings, individual working, and downtime, plus a café that is open to the public.

The space started out as an empty shell, and PT Projects let the Main Works contract, plus managed costs on the separate specialist works packages for FFE, café equipment, IT and Audio-Visual elements.

During the project, the client was taken over twice which led to an evolving design, and a paused construction phase, all of which PT Projects took in their stride, and the project was successfully delivered within budget.

PT Projects were the Quantity Surveyors and Contract Administrators, working on the project from the outset.
